Alluri Sitarama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences (ASRAM), Eluru is a contemporary medical institution that compares to the “best of medical institutions worldwide”. This medical college and teaching hospital is spread over an area of 90 acres of land on the outskirts of Eluru town.

The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) with an annual intake of 100 students. All college and hospital departments as required by the MCI are fully developed and are operational. The college has ultramodern laboratories and spacious class rooms. Modern teaching aids are liberally used. The library is large and has approximately 7000 books and many Indian and foreign journals. Internet and Meddler facilities are available. The college, though only in two years old, has secured the best pass percentage as well as the highest number of first classes in the State of Andhra Pradesh, at the First MBBS University Examination held earlier this year. The 780 bedded hospital is fully operational and functions round the clock. It has all required outpatient and inpatient facilities for service to the patients, education and training, and clinical research.
